Which is the nearest airport to Fontalbe?
Bergerac airport is 25 minutes away and is easily reached from most parts of the UK.
Do I need to hire a car?
Unless you drive here we strongly recommend that you hire your own car. There are several car rental companies at Bergerac airport.
Do I need to bring pool towels?
No, we have beautiful Febronie hamman towels for you to use during your stay. We also provide all bedding and bathroom towels. These are changed once a week.
Where is the nearest supermarket?
There is a small Intermarche a 10-minute drive away. There is also a super boulangerie, butchers, wine shop and delicatessen 5 minutes drive away in Beaumont. There are much larger supermarkets available within about a half hour drive.
What will be there when we first arrive?
We provide a comprehensive welcome pack when you arrive, including all your essentials, as well as some local specialities and wine. This should be sufficient for you to create a light supper on arrival . If there is something that you would particularly like please let us know and we will do our best to provide it.
Can you be flexible with the check in and check out times?
Unfortunately, no. We have a very short time to get the house ready for the next guests and we want it to look as lovely for them as it did for you.
Can I bring pets?
Bringing pets is at the owners’ discretion. Please contact us with your request so we can consider your requirements and provide you with our terms and conditions. If you are bringing a pet a small cleaning surcharge will be made.
Does the house have air conditioning?
The centuries old thick stone walls ensure the house remains at a comfortable temperature. But, in the height of the summer, should the temperature soar, we have eco-friendly air cooling units for each bedroom.
Is the house accessible for disabled people?
As it is such an old building the house there are several steps inside the building and the bedrooms are all upstairs. We would love to accommodate you if at all possible but please do bear this in mind.
Can we do our laundry?
Yes, you can. There is a washing machine and clothes dryer and we provide bio and non-bio washing tablets.
How do I pay for my stay at Fontalbe?
